Every Backer’s name will appear in the rulebook, and each of you will also receive the Resurrection Roll for free: a commemorative board with all supporters’ names. A unique keepsake to celebrate your role in this great resurrection!

Dopo appena una settimana abbiamo già superato le nostre aspettative e sbloccato un sacco di contenuti extra.

Come ringraziamento per il vostro incredibile supporto, vogliamo che la vostra presenza resti impressa non solo nella storia di questo progetto, ma anche nell’eredità di Return of the Living Dead!

[ENG] New Stretch Goals & Add-ons!

Good morning, survivors! Your swarm through the graveyard has unlocked fresh Stretch Goals. Here’s what’s waiting for you:

The Half Lady Miniature: One of the film’s most iconic corpses now comes to life as a miniature! The original Half Lady was a complex animatronic built by William Munns and Tony Gardner’s FX team. She was designed as just a torso to make the build easier, but also creepier. With internal mechanisms that moved her eyes and mouth, she could interact with the cast. Her long hair and twisted grin were deliberate touches to amplify the clash between humanity and monstrosity, turning her into a true horror icon.

Cardboard Main Sets: Upgrade your two game maps to sturdy cardboard versions of the Main Sets of VHS: Return of the Living Dead. Tougher than a Brain-Eater’s hide!

Brain-Eater Bases: In VHS: Return of the Living Dead, Characters can turn into Brain-Eaters. When that happens (and it probably will…), you can place their miniatures into these smoke-like bases inspired by the Trioxin gas. Sure, the transformation is painful and messy… but look on the bright side: you’ll get to command other Brain-Eaters against your former teammates!

New Add-ons!

We’ve added new Add-ons to let backers of the Trioxin Leak and The Tarman pledges upgrade: Burn the Flames Film (from digital to physical), The Half Lady miniature (from STL to resin model), and the cardboard Main Sets.

You can pick them individually or grab the discounted bundle, always available among the add-ons. If you’ve already selected some of the singles but want the bundle, just make sure to remove the duplicates first.

This is the only Add-on you’ll need: once you have it, your Return of the Living Dead collection will be complete, with no extra Add-ons required.

But we’re not done yet with the Stretch Goals… check the campaign page to catch a glimpse of what’s coming next!

[ITA] Nuovi Stretch Goals e Add-ons!

Buongiorno, sopravvissuti! Il vostro sciamare nel cimitero ci ha permesso di sbloccare nuovi Stretch Goals. Eccoli qui!

La miniatura della Half Lady: uno dei morti più iconici del film, vedrà ora la sua miniatura! Curiosità: La Half Lady era un elaborato animatronico creato dal team di effetti speciali di William Munns e Tony Gardner. Non aveva il corpo intero, solo il busto, per rendere più facile la realizzazione e allo stesso tempo più disturbante l’aspetto. I meccanismi interni muovevano bocca e occhi, permettendo di farla interagire coi personaggi. I lunghi capelli e il ghigno macabro furono scelti apposta per accentuare il contrasto tra umanità e mostruosità, rendendola un’icona del film.

Set Principali in Cartoncino: Un upgrade delle due mappe del gioco ti permetterà ora di avere la versione in cartoncino dei due Set Principali di VHS: Return of the Living Dead. Più robusti della scorza di un Mangia-cervelli!

Basette dei Mangia-cervelli: In VHS: Return of the Living Dead i Personaggi possono trasformarsi in Mangia-cervelli. Quando questo accadrà (perché probabilmente accadrà...), potrai mettere le miniature all'interno di queste basette, che mimano il fumo del gas trioxina. Certo, la trasformazione è spiacevole e dolorosa, però guarda il lato positivo: potrai comandare gli altri Mangia-cervelli contro i tuoi (ex) compagni!

Nuovi Add-ons!

Abbiamo aggiunto nuovi Add-on per permettere ai Pledge "Trioxin Leak" e "The Tarman" di fare l’upgrade della Pellicola Burn the Flames (dal digitale al fisico), della miniatura della Half Lady (dallo STL al modello fisico) e delle mappe in cartoncino.

Potete acquistarli singolarmente oppure scegliere il bundle scontato, sempre disponibile tra gli add-ons. Se avete già preso uno degli add-on singoli ma volete il bundle, ricordate di rimuovere i doppioni prima di confermare.

Questo sarà l’unico add-on che vi permetterà di ottenere l’intera collezione dei prodotti di VHS: Return of the Living Dead sbloccati come Stretch Goals. 

Ma gli Stretch Goals non sono ancora finiti... e nella pagina trovi già altre anticipazioni dei prossimi!

40 Years of Party!!! / 40 anni di Party!!!

[ENG] A birthday that could only be celebrated in a graveyard!

Forty years ago, on August 16th, 1985, a film was released that would become a cult classic, nailed into horror history like a nail in a coffin.

For us, first as fans and later as creators, having the chance to pay tribute to this movie on the very day of its 40th anniversary is an honor that’s hard to put into words.

Most of all, finding so many passionate fans like you, who’ve helped make this day even more special, makes us feel like we’re in the best company we could ask for.

We’ve loved this film since we were kids (and I still remember how much the Half Lady terrified me…), and we truly hope that everything we’ve done manages to do justice to such an iconic piece of horror cinema.

So let’s raise our barrels of Trioxin and fire up the ovens at Resurrection Funeral Home!

Let’s do it for Return of the Living Dead, for everything it’s given us, and of course, wishing it another hundred years of contamination, zombies, half-dogs, and…
BRAINS!

[ITA] Un compleanno che può essere festeggiato solo in un cimitero!

40 anni fa, esattamente il 16 agosto del 1985, usciva un film destinato a diventare un cult, inciso nella storia del cinema horror come un chiodo nella bara.

E per noi, prima fan e poi autori, avere avuto l’occasione di rendergli omaggio proprio nell’anno e nel giorno del suo anniversario è un onore indescrivibile.

Ma soprattutto, aver trovato così tanti appassionati come voi, che hanno reso ancora più speciale questo giorno, ci fa sentire nella migliore compagnia possibile.

Amiamo questo film da quando eravamo piccoli (e ricordo bene la paura che mi faceva la Half Lady…) e speriamo davvero che tutto ciò che abbiamo fatto, agli occhi di altri fan come voi, riesca a rendere giustizia a un cult così importante per il cinema horror.

Quindi in alto i barili di trioxina e accendiamo i forni della Resurrection Funeral Home!

Facciamolo per Return of the Living Dead, per tutto ciò che ci ha regalato e, naturalmente, augurandogli altri cento anni di contaminazione, zombie, mezzi cani e ovviamente…

3 New Stretch Goals Carved in Stone! / 3 nuovi Stretch Goals incisi sulle lapidi!

[ENG] A Shovel-Load of New Playable Content for VHS: Return of the Living Dead!

That’s right: three more Stretch Goals are unlocked, and we couldn’t be happier to throw even more game content your way. Let’s break down what’s new!

Burn the Flames – New Film: The VHS: ROTLD box already comes with five fully pre-built, ready-to-play Films… and now you’ve got six! 
Fun fact: the other Films are titled Eyes Without a Face, Take a Walk, Make Love Until We Die, Party Time, and Surfin’ Dead. Sound familiar? Yep, they’re all tracks from the official Return of the Living Dead soundtrack, each carefully matched to the mood and scenes they represent.

Standees: The base VHS: Return of the Living Dead box already includes a bunch of cool tokens, Key Markers (Half-Dogs), Crime Scenes (with a half-chewed brain), Monster Lairs (Willy “Putname’s” coffin), Buildings (the cemetery mausoleum), and the classic Trioxin barrels. This Stretch Goal upgrades those tokens into full standees-shaped markers with their own bases, so you can place them right on your maps in glorious 2D.

Punk ’n’ Guts Pack: One of the things that makes VHS insanely replayable is how much you can customize (maps, monsters, Films, Characters… you name it). This Stretch Goal cranks that up even further, giving you everything you need to create unique, punk-themed, over-the-top Characters that perfectly capture the wild spirit of Return of the Living Dead.

What’s Next?

You can already see the next unlocks on the campaign page: miniatures, custom bases, cardboard maps… and we’re just getting started.

For now, we’re heading back to dig up more graves at the Resurrection Funeral Home, which, thanks to you, is crawling with an ever-growing horde of brain-eaters!

[ITA] Una badilata di roba giocabile per VHS: Return of the Living Dead!

Ebbene, altri tre Stretch Goals sono stati sbloccati, e noi non possiamo che essere più felici di offrirvi altri materiali di gioco. Ma andiamo a vederli nel dettaglio!

Burn the Flames, il nuovo film: La scatola di VHS: ROTLD contiene già 5 film precostruiti giocabili, e molto semplicemente, ora ne avete 6! 
Curiosità: sapete quali sono i nomi degli altri film? Eyes without a Face, Take a Walk, Make Love Until we Die, Party Time e Surfin' Dead... Vi dicono niente? Esatto, sono i titoli di alcune delle canzoni della colonna sonora ufficiale di Return of the Living Dead. E non sono stati scelti a caso: ciascuno di questi infatti si sposa con il tono e le scene della pellicola.

Standees: Fra le molte cose presenti nella scatola base di VHS: Return of the Living Dead ci sono i token di Punti di Interesse (mezzi-cani), delle Scene del Crimine (un cervello masticato), del Rifugio del Mostro (la bara di Willy "Putname") e degli Edifici (mausoleo del cimitero), oltre ai token dei barili di trioxina. Ebbene, con questo stretch goals produrremo gli standees di questi token, ovvero segnalini sagomati muniti di basetta per poterli rappresentare in 2d all'interno delle mappe.

Punk 'n' Guts Pack: Una delle cose che rende estremamente alta la rigiocabilità di VHS riguarda la personalizzazione di ogni elemento di gioco, dalle mappe ai mostri, dalle pellicole ai personaggi. Con questo Stretch Goals, la personalizzazione aumenta ancora di più, poiché ti forniamo tutto il necessario per creare personaggi unici e tematici legati alle atmosfere punk e folli di Return of the Living Dead.

E i prossimi Stretch Goals?

Sulla pagina puoi già vedere i prossimi da sbloccare. Si parla di miniature, basette custom e mappe cartonate... e non è finita, perché abbiamo ancora molto da mostrarvi.

Two new graves opened! / Due nuove fosse scoperchiate!

[ENG] With two new stretch goals already unlocked, the graves at Resurrection Cemetery are being dug at an incredible pace!

We’ve unlocked the VHS: Return of the Living Dead soundtrack, featuring five tracks inspired by the tone and atmosphere of the movie, making your sessions even more immersive!

The soundtrack was composed by Sonor Studio (you can already hear their amazing work in the music from the campaign trailer). Sonor Studio has also released two soundtracks for each previous VHS Kickstarter. In the video below, you can get a taste of what they’ve already created for us.

Our second stretch goal is a scenario written by Silvia Riccò, founder of Horror Dipendenza, a popular page dedicated to horror cinema with a huge following. The scenario she’s creating for VHS (playable with any core ruleset) is called Hell on Big Screen and will be inspired by Lamberto Bava’s Demons. VHS scenarios are complete packages that give you everything you need to play in a specific horror setting, from Side Sets to building the Main Set, the Film’s special rules, and of course, a pre-built Film included.

A huge thank you not only to Sonor Studio and Silvia Riccò for helping make this campaign even more unique, but also to all of you, who made it possible to hit these two milestones so quickly!

[ITA] Con due nuovi Stretch Goals già sbloccati, le fosse del Resurrection Cemetery stanno venendo scavate a una velocità impressionante!

Abbiamo sbloccato la colonna sonora di VHS: Return of the Living Dead, con cinque tracce ispirate ai toni e all’atmosfera del film, per rendere le vostre sessioni ancora più immersive!

A comporla è stato Sonor Studio, il cui fantastico lavoro potete già ascoltare nella musica del trailer della campagna. Sonor Studio ha inoltre realizzato due colonne sonore per ognuno dei Kickstarter di VHS pubblicati finora. Nel video qui sotto potete ascoltare un’anteprima di ciò che ha creato per noi.

Il secondo Stretch Goal è uno scenario scritto da Silvia Riccò, creatrice di Horror Dipendenza, una pagina dedicata al cinema dell’orrore con un grande seguito. Lo scenario, giocabile con qualsiasi regolamento base di VHS, si intitola Hell on Big Screen ed è ispirato al filmDemoni di Lamberto Bava. Gli scenari di VHS sono compendi completi che vi forniscono tutto il necessario per giocare in un’ambientazione horror specifica: dai Set Accessori alla costruzione del Set Principale, alle regole speciali della Pellicola, fino a una Pellicola precostruita già inclusa.

Un ringraziamento speciale non solo a Sonor Studio e Silvia Riccò per aver contribuito a rendere questa campagna ancora più unica, ma anche a voi, che in pochissimo tempo avete permesso di raggiungere questi due traguardi!
